No, my friend. Every conservative understands that the only "solution" that is known to work is religion.
Immigration can only be beneficial for a country with strong religious and national traditions. Where the religious and national traditions are so weak that a people isn't having children, immigration can do nothing at all to help.
I understand that many are confused about this issue today. But the idea that immigration can strengthen a nation with a weak birth rate is a fantasy derived from economic modeling. Economic models can't substitute for an understanding of political reality.
One of the most damaging things about university education today is that economics is taught as a science. But there is very little empirical political theory. So very few of our "educated" college graduates understand what a nation is, and what helps a nation or harms it.
And sorry, but all that time studying Enlightenment rationalists like Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, and Kant, doesn't help at all. Students come out of those courses with less of an understanding of political reality than they had when they went in.
There's a perfectly good name for someone whose worldview is based on Enlightenment rationalist political theory plus economic modeling: This is called liberalism. It's a worldview that has certain strengths, but there's nothing conservative about it.
