Okay, this is probably going to turn my mentions into a nightmare, but:
"Israel is a major threat to human rights" = not inherently antisemitic
"Israel is the world's greatest threat to human rights" = antisemitic
"Israel is a major threat to human rights" = not inherently antisemitic
"Israel is the world's greatest threat to human rights" = antisemitic
Why is the second statement antisemitic? Because it's absurd unless you believe in old canards about Jews secretly running the world.
You know who's a bigger threat to human rights than Israel? The United States. Russia. China. Saudi Arabia. Purely in terms of money and military power, Israel's not even on the top 10 list.
Israel's not on the list of the top 25 richest countries in the world, so the idea that it has the financial power to be the greatest threat to human rights in the world is... ridiculous. usatoday.com/story/money/20…

Like, people, I'm right there with you on Israel's treatment of the Palestinians is horrifying, but so are the actions of a lot of countries with a lot more power and influence. So every time you say Israel is the greatest threat to human rights, I hear, "Jews control the world!"
It is absolutely possible to criticize Israel's treatment of the Palestinians, and to make clear the scope, intensity, and cruelty of it, without falling back on old antisemitic canards.
