So this is a "bad translation" despite being made by Netanyahu's office, which doubled down on it when initially questioned. Perhaps worth noting that the "bad translation" happened because Netanyahu's bellicose rhetoric often hovers close to threatening war. 
So, there's some dispute about whether this is a bad translation or not. A few Hebrew speakers are saying that Netanyahu did say "war."
So, as far as I can suss out, here's what happened: Netanyahu said "combat" in Facebook selfie and "war" in gaggle to press. It was the press gaggle statement that got posted, and which Netanyahu is now walking back. Does that sound right?
