1/ I have my issues with Last Refuge but this article is top notch and a huge issue for McCabe. It now seems clear that by his own addmission McCabe lied to Congress. I’ve written a thread on his testimony in the Senate where he denied Trump had obstructed.theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/02/15/mcc…
2/ McCabe testified in front of the Senate on May 11.
3/ In his testimony McCabe says Trump has not obstructed.
4/ As McCabe is sitting in front of the Senate committee testifying, he’s asked if Trump attempts to obstruct will he immediately notify them. He says he will.
5/ Yet in his 60 Minutes interview he admits he had already opened an obstruction investigation the day before on May 10th! That timeline is reinforced by the Strzok Page texts. So he was either lying in front of the Senate or he opened an investigation without a valid predicate. 
6/ Importantly, at the time he’s testifying, McCabe is unaware of the texts. He wouldn’t be confronted by them until after Mueller was appointed. I’ve asked this question before, at what point was team Trump (Rosenstein) reading these text messages?
7/ The texts go far back and clearly show a long planned conspiracy to use Comey’s firing as the launching point for the insurance policy. But it seems Rosenstein was aware of the plan. I’ve said I believe Comey’s firing opened a sting on McCabe.
8/ Does this revelation, that McCabe opened an obstruction investigation on May 10 and then was lying in the Senate hearing by saying Trump hadn’t obstructed, explain why Rosenstein called Warner and Burr into a SCIF in the middle of McCabe’s testimony?
9/ I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. McCabe is in severe legal jeopardy. My sense is he is desperate to make it seem Rosenstein and DOJ were on his side. The facts just do not line up with that claim.
10/ So why sting McCabe? I mean wasn’t there a sufficient basis to fire and prosecute these people in day 1? Well that depends, do you want to actually successfully prosecute them? This entire thing was brilliantly designed and executed.
11/ With every new day there is a new piece added to the puzzle. Every day Rosenstein’s role becomes clearer. Ever day McCabe’s abuse of power is further revealed.
