I’m seeing a lot of Trump’s indoctrinated cult base argue on this point for a border wall:

It reminds me of the straw-man argument trying to equate a gun to cars as a WMD.

From a structural engineer & obvious perspective— residential fence specs are typ 4-6’ high. They’re made of wood, PVC or steel composite. I live in a suburb & have a fence. Last week, a coyote climbed over it. My dog went nuts! worse than the raccoons & rabbits that breached it.
A few mos ago, a bear crashed through our fence & 2 adjacent neighbor’s fences. Our home surveillance cameras caught it. I respectfully agreed with my neighbors—we all chipped in to get the fences fixed since we share borders. No eminent domain or political power grabs involved.
In contrast, Trump’s concrete wall of 40-50’ tall that Mexico is going to pay for—Oops! His Fence he’s proposed that American taxpayers will pay for—is steel composite & only 32’ high.

Point is, walls don’t work. They didn’t work for the Great Wall of China, WWII to keep Nazi’s out, or in Berlin, Germany.
People, vehicles, and yes– even bears, coyotes, raccoons & rabbits find a way.
