Story & explanation continued,
focusing on PAIRINGS of BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS.

This thread goes deeper into the idea that the "correct pairings" must save each other, and what happens in the BST timeline where things go very wrong...

@BTS_twt #BTS #방탄소년단
The following deeper look into Blood Sweat & Tears is based on and supports my explanation/theory of the STRUCTURE OF THE NOTES. The structure itself and the recognition of "exclusive notes" show us that multiple timelines exist in this story. BST is one of them. A very dark one.
Before you read this thread, please make sure you read my main HYYH notes structure explanation first, linked below.

I've been rewatching all the Bangtan Universe contents through this framework, everything really makes sense now, the puzzle pieces fit..

To review, the structure of the notes show us the existence of 3 main timelines, evident in "exclusive notes" + certain member pairings.

HER: Timeline A - no time leap has taken place
TEAR: Timeline B - time leap has taken place
ANSWER: Timeline C - a "fusion" of both timelines
To begin, just a little more recap on another way we know Seokjin time leaped. In all his exclusive notes of the LY series, they are ALL dated 11 April YEAR 22.

We know this is the date he returns to when he time leaps. 3 notes of the same date therefore = 3 timelines.
Blood Sweat & Tears reflects the events and pattern we see in TEAR or TIMELINE B.

In this timeline, a time leap has occurred, causing some kind of disturbance and things to go VERY wrong.

The "original" (correct) pairs have been changed, and now the pairings are as below:
Although we don't know the EXACT reason why these pairings must be in the correct ones, we do know that this is the only way everyone can be saved.

It is a common theme in stories of time-leap. Everything HAS to be lined up in a certain way. The right PERSON in the right TIME.
We know BST has a BILLION symbols as clues to the HYYH/Bangtan Universe story.

So I watched it again with this theory in mind and RIGHT THERE, in the beginning of the Korean BST MV, the members walk right in ... In not just ANY order or pair, but ... IN THE INCORRECT PAIRINGS 😱
Now, for each "incorrect pair", there is a MAIN RUNNING THEME for their relationship in BST.

YOONGI-JIMIN:
• YG covers JM's eyes

NAMJOON-JUNGKOOK:
• NJ and substance use around JK

HOSEOK-TAEHYUNG:
• HS aims & shoots at "TH"
For each pairing, I will explain their theme and its meaning + significance through evidence in BST MVs. Explanation will be organized by the points below:

1⃣ Representation of "incorrect" pairing
2⃣ How things go "wrong" in these pairs
3⃣ Appearance of "correct" pair member
[YOONGI & JIMIN]

1⃣ Theme: Yoongi keeps covering Jimin's eyes

YG is seen covering JM's eyes with his hands, with a blindfold. It's a recurring symbol we see throughout both KRN and JPN versions.

Meaning: YOONGI IS PREVENTING JIMIN FROM FACING THE TRUTH.
2⃣ What's wrong about YG covering JM's eyes?

Many think YG is "protecting" JM, that this action is a metaphor of covering JM's eyes from witnessing the arboretum incident. But maybe, concealing the truth ISN'T the answer...

Evidence in the MV on why this is a wrong action:
- Blindfold is attached to door, a way "out" to reality. But JM's eyes are covered and he cannot leave. But the fact it's tied to the door = YG is "trying" to help
- JM dances but with blindfold on. Cannot dance freely = cannot be true to himself
- JM RUNS AWAY from YG in tunnel
- After JM escapes he comes to a place where he may face reality. But as soon as he opens the door, YG covers the eyes of JM inside the room. JM inside the room is prevented from seeing JM who is seeking the truth. Therefore, YG AGAIN stops the JM who is determined to find truth.
Connecting this back to TEAR notes where we see these incorrect pairings: Yoongi again prevents Jimin from going to the arboretum.

And although not specifically in BST, we know Yoongi's symbol is fire and Jimin's symbol is water.

Fire and water are opposing forces ...
3⃣ Appearance of original pair: HOSEOK

JM & HS are shown dancing with passion, almost desperation. They're both dancing in the same parallel setting but not together.

And notice JM's background = RED (he is stuck in FIRE, with YG).
HS's = BLUE (JM's sign, where JM SHOULD be)
Furthermore in the final depiction of dancing in parallel settings, Jimin desperately throws his arms into the air as if reaching UP... Like he is reaching out to Hoseok. It's like they are trying to reach, trying to find one another.

In this timeline, Hoseok cannot save Jimin.
Summary of Yoongi & Jimin:

The symbolism of Yoongi continuously covering Jimin's eyes represents how Yoongi is preventing Jimin from seeing the truth. This may be out of concern & to protect or "SAVE" him, but it's NOT the answer.

JM must face the truth to overcome his fears.
[NAMJOON & JUNGKOOK]

1⃣ Theme: Namjoon and Jungkook are surrounded by use of substances: green liquid (alcohol), smoke, trip-like experiences

Meaning: This substance use that seems to be initiated from NJ are a symbol of A MISREPRESENTATION AND FALSE SENSE OF ADULTHOOD for JK.
2⃣ How is Namjoon representing a false sense of adulthood to JK?

- NJ forces a drink (represents alcohol) to JK. JK throws up.
- JK has a lollipop in his mouth (seen repeatedly), representing the fact that he is still a "kid" and ESP parallels with the smoking fumes next to NJ.
- This scene is also key: JK suspended in mid-air, feathers, painting in the back = representation that JK is ICARUS.

As we know, the story of Icarus represents the dangers and consequences one faces when they get too close to something they shouldn't: JK and adulthood.
Connecting this back to TEAR notes where we see these incorrect pairings:

Jungkook aspires to become an adult like Namjoon. This fact makes Namjoon uncomfortable, because he doesn't believe he is a "good adult". He hopes the world won't be as tough on Jungkook as it was on him.
When JK is paired with NJ, perhaps his youth is being sped up and exposes him to the greater darkness of the adult life when it's not yet his time? And perhaps, this realization of these darknesses leads to JK wanting to end his life from atop the construction site...?
3⃣ Appearance of original pair: YOONGI

When JK is forced to drink by NJ, he then has weird hallucinations and rushes to the toilet to throw up. In this time of need, YOONGI is the one who runs into the bathroom but is pushed away.

In this timeline, Yoongi cannot save Jungkook.
Summary of Namjoon & Jungkook:

Although Jungkook wants to become an adult like Namjoon, it seems he is not yet ready to pass his youth. So when he tries to "achieve" adulthood through Namjoon, he faces the consequences of "flying too high" near something he's not yet ready for.
[HOSEOK & TAEHYUNG]

1⃣ Theme: Hoseok repeatedly aims and shoots at "Taehyung"

Meaning: The fact that whatever Hoseok aims and shoots never actually hits the REAL Taehyung as a symbol of love, warning, but is this OVER-protection?
2⃣ An over-bearing love?

🇰🇷: Arrow hits a PAINTING of TH
🇯🇵: FLINCHES but nothing hits TH

- HS's motherly love, represented by the statues, is possibly over-bearing? Could be seen as an arrow of love, but the fact HS is shooting at TH suggests something's wrong in relationship.
Connecting this back to TEAR notes where we see these incorrect pairings:

HS brings TH out from the police. He truly feels TH is suffering a lot, is extremely concerned, and tries to take care of him. HS is also believed to have "saved" TH from killing his father, +
hypothesized from the fact that HS stands where TH's father should be, meaning TH never killed his dad.

But similar to the other 2 pairings, perhaps HS isn't supposed to prevent the murder from happening but rather, to let it happen so TH can come to terms with his reality?
3⃣ Appearance of original pair: NAMJOON

Important scene: TH being held back, HS aiming dart at TH. TH looks frightened, concerned, trapped. But in comparison, NJ's face looks rather passive & indifferent as he looks at TH then HS.

In this timeline, Namjoon cannot save Taehyung.
Summary of Hoseok & Taehyung:

Both of them lack a motherly figure. And in Hoseok's attempt to embrace a suffering Taehyung in pain from his own agony, Hoseok's over-bearing love, protection, and "warning shots" prevent Taehyung from facing a reality that he must overcome.
[SEOKJIN]

There's something I want to talk about regarding Seokjin in the BST MVs, and together with Taehyung. I know there have been a lot of really symbolism-based connections drawn to Seokjin/Taehyung in BST, but I want to take it back to a bit more of a simpler perspective.
We've deducted the possibility that TH has SOME sort of time traveling ability or some sort of inclination in being able to predict the future. This was shown in the dreams he had (notes, webtoon) in which he saw things like Yoongi in the fire.
I believe that one other (and very BIG) thing that goes wrong in this timeline is the confrontation between SJ / TH . It seems like TH finds out about SJ's timeleap and this causes the 2 to become some sort of opposing forces.
This initiation might start around the time when TH asks SJ, "Hyung, is that it? Aren't there more things you're hiding from us?" which gives us a clue that TH is in the know, and may actively become more and more aware.
BST shows the climax of this tension between the two. It seems like SJ, with no choice, has to prevent TH from killing him, which is why the JPN ver MV stops and you hear SJ saying "mianhae (I'm sorry)" while hitting TH, as if he has no choice, as if he has to do this...
2 ways we can interpret this:

1) The fact that someone else found out about the timeleap other than SJ caused a disturbance in timeline -> incorrect pairings
2) This timeline was already skewed from the timeleap itself --> incorrect pairings

Either way, both = no true "saving"
IN SUMMARY:

BST reflects Timeline "B" that we saw evident through the way the notes in TEAR were structured and from the contents of the exclusive notes and the changed pairings. While these pairs attempt to and are capable of saving each other, the result is not the answer.
The message of the entire series is "LOVE YOURSELF", which emphasizes the fact that one must accept their reality and love themselves even despite the cracks and flaws. The correct member pairings allow for things to happen as they are supposed to and accepting this as the truth.
But the fact that we have a Timeline C which returns to the original pairings (same as in Timeline A), shows us that there was in fact SOME kind of change that made things turn out another way from Timeline A. This remains unanswered, answers that'll hopefully be revealed soon...
Before I end, there is something that's been on my mind since #SAVE_ME episode 8. It's a bit of a scary potential truth, so I contemplated including it here, but I'd like to put this out here as it relates to the "disturbed" timeline.

Warning: scary topic/images

What if .......
The incident Jimin witnessed at the arboretum when he was a child, had something to do with Yoongi...?

I WAS SO. SCARED. seeing this scene (left) in the webtoon, and 1000 times more when I realized it looked familiar and too strangely similar to this scene in JPN BST (right):
I then realized that in JM's exclusive note in TEAR, YG comes to the bus stop where JM is, as he's waiting to take the bus to the arboretum. He asks YG to come with him.

Why Yoongi? Do they both have some connection to the arboretum?

What, or WHO, is Jimin running away from...?
The end!

... for now.
