This Romanian mother was attacked just outside her home in #Doncaster being told, amongst others, to go back to her country.

There has been a rise in hate crime in recent years. This is what happens when xenophobia becomes legitimised.

I'm so angry reading this. The attackers called the Romanian woman "Polish c***" before attacking. It illustrates so well the xenophobe's mentality: we are all the same undesirable migrants to them who need to be "taught a lesson". Speak up against xenophobia wherever you see it!

Just imagine you are a single mother who gets out of the house to get something from the car and suddently 10 (TEN!) thugs attack you because you're foreign. Then you wait THREE days for the police to even start investigating the attack. I hope they find the criminals.

Here is Anca's statement which she asked people to share on Facebook. I feel very concerned and ashamed to live in a country where this happens to a woman just because she's foreign. The media and politicians need to stop legitimising xenophobia & anti-East European sentiments.
