EXCLUSIVE – In March 2011 @JeremyCorbyn attended a Hamas-linked conference in Geneva to campaign for the release of convicted Palestinian terrorists. A number of notable individuals attended the conference including Raed Salah and former IRA volunteer Gerry MacLochlainn.....
The conference was organised by ‘The European Network to support the Rights of Palestinian Prisoners’ (UFree). UFree is chaired by Mohammed Hamdan, the brother of senior Hamas official - Osama Hamdan who is a UK-designated terrorist subject to financial sanctions.
UFree make clear that they campaign to free all Palestinian prisoners, including convicted terrorists, or as Hamdan labels them, "heroes" - “these detainees and prisoners were seeking freedom from the occupation therefore they are heroes not terrorists”....
Writing about the conference in 2011, PressTV’s Lauren Booth said that there were “More than 80 delegates, including Palestinian wives and children of male prisoners” - alawda.eu/index.php/en/e…
One of those individuals who @JeremyCorbyn listened to was Sarah Kafisha, she was campaigning for the release of her father - Ayman Kafisha.....
Ayman Kafisha was arrested in 1997 and as the Jerusalem Post reported at the time was “charged in connection with the kidnap-murder of soldier Sharon Edri, the killing of three women in the Apropo cafe bombing, and the murders of members of the Unger and Monk families”….
Speaking at the conference, @JeremyCorbyn said “Here we declare our complete solidarity with these prisoners and their families”. I assume this includes Ayman Kafisha……
Attending the conference was the 'blood-libel Sheikh' - Raed Salah, a year later @JeremyCorbyn famously described him as “a very honoured citizen”. In 2008 Salah was charged in Israel with inciting anti-Jewish racism & violence and was sentenced to eight months in prison...
Also attending was former @UKLabour MP – Martin Linton. A year earlier in 2010 Linton was forced to apologise for making antisemitic comments about the “long tentacles of Israel” - thejc.com/news/uk-news/l…
@JeremyCorbyn’s “very good friend” – Ibrahim Hewitt was also there. Hewitt is described as an extremist who “says that adulterers should be stoned to death and compares gays with paedophiles”- thetimes.co.uk/article/corbyn…
Another attendee and speaker was former IRA volunteer Gerry MacLochlainn. MacLochlainn has a history with Corbyn as he was one of the two IRA volunteers who Corbyn hosted at the Houses of Parliament in 1984 two weeks after the Grand Hotel bombing in Brighton that killed 5.
You can read more about that from the fantastic @TimesCorbyn -
Finally, the conference concluded with the formation of four working committees of which @JeremyCorbyn was a member of the political committee. It resolved to "work with government bodies and political parties to achieve the release of Palestinian political prisoners".
It is worth noting that only a few months after the conference, UFree's Mohammed Hamdan linked the far-right terrorist attack by Anders Breivik to Israel, suggesting that the youth camp was attacked for being pro-Palestinian.
So, as @JeremyCorbyn demonstrated last night, he is unwilling to sit down with @ChukaUmunna in an attempt to resolve Brexit, however he is clearly far more comfortable sitting alongside antisemites campaigning for the release of convicted terrorists who have murdered Jews.....
