Uttermost respect to anyone trying to soften #Brexit & help the country, but Norway+ isn't the answer & please, we need you fighting for Remain. As I see it there's 5 key problems with Norway+ as a concept

@NickBoles @SKinnock 2) it's not available - Norway+ has never been seriously discussed with the EU27 & EEA countries, its not an off the shelf solution & may not even be possible. Its not a unicorn like other "mythical better #Brexits" but neither is it fully formed. It still requires negotiation

@NickBoles @SKinnock 3) it's too heavily based on spin & marketing - I'm sorry to say but Norway+, Norway for Now, Common Market 2.0 - all three names have been applied to try to make it more appealing to various factions. This gives the impression that its champions are not being straightforward

@NickBoles @SKinnock 4) it doesn't settle #Brexit - the ERG and others will agitate against it from day 1. The very first time a rule comes down from the EU27 Mogg, Johnson and co will jump on it as an example of "vassalage"

This may have been an option 3 years ago but these people have poisoned it

@NickBoles @SKinnock 5) No one voted for it - several people voted for Norway, some for Unicorns & some for hard Brexit, many voted for Remain.

But no one voted to be out but still in both the CU & SM, its just a weird compromise

@NickBoles @SKinnock 6) it's pointless - Norway+ is pointless. Its only merit is it's not as bad as other #Brexits. There are no other positive benefits.

No one would look at all the options including Remain and choose Norway+ as the best way forward

@NickBoles @SKinnock 7) The only thing that can be said for Norway+ is its technically #Brexit and so might placate a few leavers

But it won't please anybody. And whereas Remainers may cling to it as an economic lifeboat no one will love it, or value it as a way forward.

@NickBoles @SKinnock 8) so @NickBoles, @SKinnock please - you've done sterling work but there is momentum now behind Remain

6 m signatures, 1 m marchers, a majority in the country - a straightforward answer, Remain by Vote or #RevokeArticle50
