My mum died 3 weeks before my 6th birthday. Writing a book about my childhood has brought her to mind a lot, so this mother's day I thought I'd share the first piece I ever wrote about that loss.

Btw my book is called Did Ye Hear Mammy Died? and it comes out next year. It's like the above story; mostly funny and sometimes sad, but better written because I use less adverbs these days.

If you all buy several copies when it comes out I'll be very pleased.
