Here's another Democrat who is a candidate of people who would make BIG money from the #GreenNewDeal.

The SUPER PAC that is backing Inslee is "Act Now on Climate."

So far, they've been primarily targeting #Texas, New York, California, #Iowa, and #Florida with ad buys.
Act Now On Climate PAC is run by former #Democrat operative Corey Platt. who was also the former political Director of the Democratic Governors Association.

Jay Insless also CHAIRED the Democratic Governors Assn in 2018.

Another web of corruption.

She's also President & Founder of PR Firm 'New Heights Communications' &
worked campaigns for - Al Gore, Howard Dean, and Chris Dodd.

She's a swamp machine.

Owner of Zealcon, an Oklahoma software and staffing company, was indicted for tax fraud, including not paying out taxes withheld from employee paychecks.
I wonder if he was hiring a bunch of foreigners through work visas.

The company appears to have had contracts with DoD, Verizon, Monsanto, IBM, AT&T and several other large companies. Their site also says they have a staffing service.

Ahhh, I'll bet the story yesterday about the UK wanting to break up the Big 4 accounting/auditing firms (Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, and EY) must relate back the #1MDB scandal (and probably others as well).

John Gray - Consultant for Lindberg

Robert Cannon Hayes - Chairman of North Carolina Republican party

John Palermo - Chatham County Chairman & Eli Global Exex
Looks like a typical #PayToPlay scheme.

Lindberg & co-conspirators bribed the public officials in exchange for actions that would favor their businesses.

Climate Works, a major bundler in the space whose funds flow through hundreds of local and national activist organizations, made $485,673 on the last tax filing we found. The organization's total comp was $2,828,022 for 10 board members. Not bad for selling something no one /3

Apologies for what is likely to be a rather long thread with nested sub-threads, but I would like to talk about @AOC's #GreenNewDeal

To start: I would be surprised in human activity did not impact the climate. I do think that government policy should address that likelihood.
There are a range of things which government can and should be doing to that end.

It is important that action should be both achievable and effective.

Reading the proposed Resolution:

and the FAQs, the means by which it is suggested that climate change be addressed, along with certain of the other proposals, I am not convinced that these two tests are met.

A set of policies which are demonstrably foolish will not advance the cause of arresting climate change

This approach is new and exciting compared to national legislation for a carbon tax or cap-and-trade program. The GND is a project based focused on the necessary work: upgrading buildings, decarbonizing the electricity grid, working on agricultural emissions. 2/
In this way, the GND is more like an RPS policy combined with the PTC--it sets the goal and invests in moving in that direction. It's more of a carrot than a stick. More or a plan than a tax. 3/
