First, @KatrinaPierson I was specifically talking about black Trump supporters that I have met, interviewed and worked with. Not all black people who voted for Trump because I make a distinction, one you either didn't see or chose to ignore, so let me re-iterate

There is a big diff btw politically engaged & politically informed. Engaged people simply find politics interesting, they talk politics, get on social media, and are very passionate abt their beliefs. Informed voters know policy, history/ government facts at a certain level

This is NOT the same thing at all. I can be very engaged in movies and television it doesn't mean I understand a Q rating, or how to operate Chyron. Politics is no different. Trump succeeded by tapping into ENGAGED but LOW INFORMATION voters

There are dozens of studies abt this distinction....Which brings us to African American voters

@KatrinaPierson you are a political operative, so I know it's your job to flack for this administration, but you're not a political scientist, or a journalist or even a pollster, so forgive me if I doubt you've actually looked into any recent data about Black Trump supporters

Black Republicans voted 4 Trump because they're republicans, that is to be expected. The #BLEXIT crowd are generally voters who were not informed about policy, but were attracted to Trump. In that respect they're no different than much of Trump's low info white support

This doesn't mean #BLEXIT voters are stupid, it means they often lack basic political knowledge & history. Lots of voters lack basic knowledge & history. The problem is Black Trump supporters R given disproportionate attention by the media relative to their actual election impact

I know you wanted to engage in some dimwitted fight @KatrinaPierson but I'm not some twitter hack. Many Trump supporters are low information voters, Black Trump supporters are low information voters. Plenty of evidence, it's not that complicated.

If you choose to interpret the objective analysis that Trump voters are low information voters as "You're saying Trump Voters are Stupid" then you're revealing more abt your own political biases and insecurities than you are revealing anything abt actual facts and data

Given only abt 3% of African American women voted for Trump in 2016, and the paucity of black women on TV news in general - the amount of media attention spent on people like you @KatrinaPierson Candace Owens, Diamond & Silk FAR outweighs the actual demographic you represent

So the argument by #Blexit folks that they're locked out of the mainstream media is absolutely false. There are more farmers, gays, even MUSLIM supporters of Trump than black people but you don't see THEM getting on 24 hour cable on the regular ispu.org/which-muslims-…
