While piece gets at Ivanka’s blinkered vacuousness, it doesn’t make the obvious point that by choosing being a bauble on the finger of a racist bigot autocrat is arguably worse than being the autocrat. theatlantic.com/politics/archi…
Maybe the question isn’t: will Javanka be admitted back into New York society, but which terrible people will facilitate that? And will they be shunned.
Also: it’s not just that Ivanka didn’t deliver on Paris to the fools who thought she would/wanted to, or that she and Jared were on vacation after Charlottesville. She has lied about her father’s worst policies like child separation, and they both actively aid and abet them.
Anyway Ivanka is the Elizabeth Holmes of politics—but her scam is much more dangerous. And anyone still falling for it is an idiot.
As with Holmes this seems to be mostly old men who think she is pretty. 🤷🏻♀️
