We took a look at bots that replicate @realDonaldTrump's tweets back in July 2018. We decided to update that analysis today.

We found 160 accounts posting duplicates of Trump tweets from the last 10 days, up from 121 in our previous analysis. News bots make up a greater share this time around, while marketing/commercial spam accounts are rarer. 
As before, the majority of the bots copying Trump tweets use IFTTT. A mix of services such as Buffer and HootSuite and custom apps implemented with the Twitter API (PrezBuzzBot, stfudonnie, "Test Twitter App 845, etc. . .) comprise the remainder.
Most of the bots copying Trump's tweets use his likeness, a parody thereof, or some kind of political imagery. There are a few with stolen pics lurking in the weeds, though. Hola, @Candyz82 (this one owns up to the fake pic) and @Jessica49600276!
This ain't @Candyz82's first botting rodeo, by the way. Prior to copying Trump tweets, this account tweeted sales spam with a political twist, selling Confederate flag, "Alt-Right", and "No More Cucks" T-shirts, among others.
