I joined the Romneys on their ‘08 campaign bus through SC and supported Mitt for POTUS. My fellow Christians suggested I share my faith with them, that I could be such an awesome Christian they would renounce their LDS ways and join traditional Christianity. Fat chance. 1/6
If anyone’s salvation hung on the witness of evangelical Christians during the ‘08, ‘12, or ‘16 political cycle, they’d be in sorry shape. Former Baptist preacher @GovMikeHuckabee, for example, constantly mocked, mischaracterized, and lied about the Romneys’ and their faith. 2/6
So many did. These Christians said they couldn’t support @MittRomney because of their “deeply held Biblical beliefs.” But they morphed into red-hat wearing Trump supporters faster than you could say, “grab ‘em by the pussy.” 3/6
Now, the Huckabees continue their mockery of Mitt, even as they should be repenting of their headline-making deception. 4/6
They call evil stances good and good stances evil. There’s a Bible verse about that, but I now know the Bible means nothing to them when there’s power at stake. 5/6
