I think this thread is well-meaning (I like Laura too) but confused about what Labour’s head of complaints needs to be:

The idea that Laura - has struggled to get her view on antisemitism heard in Corbyn’s office over the past 4 years - and has no formal experience of managing disciplinary processes, will transform into the independent, non-partisan disciplinary head which is needed, is fanciful
And it’s not fair to her either - Jennie Formby majored on how stressful staff have found being criticised (🤔), what do they think will happen in the next screw up? Because of her public image Laura will be blamed immediately, and the usual unhelpful defensiveness will ensue
It’s a really irresponsible appointment. No organisation which took seriously its duty to address hundreds of outstanding complaints would have made it - and the fact that supposed anti-racism campaigners are backing it shows how far Labour is down the rabbit hole
