Using satellite imagery from @PlanetLabs it is possible to see the complete desecration of the near-frontline town of Kafr Naboudah within the Idlib Pocket in Syria.
There has been almost complete destruction of this village that held 10k civilians in Jan.
By examining the change between images it's possible to assess the bombed areas. Most times I've used this method it looks like the 2nd photo. Here it shows decimation.
For multiple strikes which missed residential areas it is possible to measure the size of the craters at ~40m diameter. Its hard to imagine what nearly 100 of these could do to a town.

I have opinions on most of the imagery posted so bear with me for a bit here. 1/
Firstly just some details on the imagery. It's not the best post-strike imagery available, so don't consider this the final word. It is Pleiades imagery, taken at 70cm resolution on March 4th. There's data from Feb 27th at 50cm available. But this is FAR better than my imagery 2/
So let's dig in. Firstly, the most crucial evidence that it shows is the small four-holes in the roof of the main building. This looks potentially interesting. I dont want to dig deeper than the resolution allows but what makes them look legit is the pattern of dust coming out 3/

THREAD. Using recent satellite imagery, this thread will take you through the scorching 12km journey from Baghouz - ISIS' final holdout - to the nearby civilian screening point run by the SDF. It's a journey that 9,000 (including 6,000 civilians) have taken in the last 72hr. 1/
As you leave you snake through an impromptu town filled with tents, ISIS and craters from shelling, some as close as 10m to a makeshift structure. ISIS are all around occupying the few structures but also walking with you to the SDF. Those who arent ISIS are often their relatives
Exiting the town you walk past a derelict complex of buildings and are forced to wind up a dried-up wadi. The road ahead - some of it paved - is blocked by a well-constructed trench, bombed out intersection and, likely, armed SDF fighter blocking infiltration from ISIS.

Today the Washington Post's @GerryShih reported on a Chinese military base at the Kyzyl-Rabat Tajik Border Post, about 15km from the Chinese border, 12 from the Afghani border (google.com/maps/place/37%…) High-resolution satellite imagery reveals it dwarfs the nearby border post 1/
The Tajik border post has been there since at least 2003, and likely far longer, but by the beginning of 2015 small tent-like structures began to appear at its entrance (visible in the recent satellite imagery). By mid-2016 the Chinese base had begun construction. 2/
This fits the timeline put forward in the article, which quotes a Chinese soldier who said they had been there for 3 or 4 years. By the end of 2016 reports started to emerge that China was patrol upto - and perhaps within - Afghanistan. This photo was published in Oct 2016. 3/
