3/7: The Chinese simply seem to have spotted a #US #cyberintrusion and snatched the code, often developed at huge expense to #American taxpayers.
4/7: The Chinese action shows how proliferating #cyberconflict is creating a #DigitalWildWest with few rules or certainties.
5/7: This was not the first time #USintelligence agencies have had their hacking tools and details about highly classified #cybersecurity programs resurface in the hands of other nations or criminal groups,
6/7: heightening debate within the #intelligencecommunity over whether the #US should continue to develop some of the world’s most high-tech, stealthy #cyberweapons if it is unable to keep them under lock and key.
7/7: This is a lesson for all nations in the race for #cybersupremacy. They will need to factor in the real likelihood that their own tools will boomerang back on themselves or allies.
