Lavrov uses some telling Trump language in meeting w/ Pompeo —"Both sides," "Let's see what happens." Imitation is the best form of flattery, and flattery works with Trump. But Russia is the off-the-rails aggressor—in Ukraine, Syria, EU, US. Appeasement only emboldens aggressors.
US media is reporting Pompeo "warned" Russia about meddling. At presser Pompeo said he hopes Russia will demonstrate "these types of activities are a thing of the past." Not even a slap on the wrist! Who thinks rewarding Putin will stop Kremlin aggression??
