Interesting aspect of Trump 'cover-up' stuff is that WH has already extensively cooperated with criminal investigation, the Mueller probe. After all Trump turned over to Mueller, what does he have to turn over to Congress? 1/4
US v Nixon fight ended with Nixon having to turn tapes over to *criminal* proceeding. SCOTUS said: 'The generalized assertion of privilege must yield to the demonstrated, specific need for evidence in a pending criminal trial.' 2/4 
Some think courts would make similar ruling for congressional inquiry. But who knows? Lawfare: '[SCOTUS] has never decided a case concerning a congressional subpoena for information issued to an executive branch official where the president has asserted executive privilege.' 3/4
