I was feeling depression coming on earlier this week, and it’s still not gone, but I am buoyed by the fact that I really am loving my new job and the incredible people I now get to work with — people who want to rebuild our broken criminal justice system.
I’m really grateful to have the opportunity to be doing this work—and also to have taken the opportunity. It was time for me to be doing something like this, and it’s so empowering, but I’m still a little surprised I actually did it— so thanks to all who gave me such good advice!
Off to bed for now. ... Night, all, and let us try to be good to one another — and ourselves.
