This is NOT a tornado area.
Or at least it did not used to be.
Continuing to ignore #ClimateCrisis will not make it go away, it will just mean more and more Americans will be facing the impact of these storms.
Any candidate who is minimizing the #ClimateCrisis is not viable. This is one of the top concerns for voters--particularly voters under 50 who will be disproportionately impacted by #ClimateChange. Only candidates with serious and comprehensive climate plans should be considered.
Severe thunderstorm now with lightning, pea-sized hail and torrential rain so heavy you can barely see across the street.
I've lived in the tropical southland, so this is weather I know.
But it IS tropical weather, not East Coast weather.
Dems must talk about this 24/7.
Apparently it's raining at a rate of four inches per hour.
And it's never good when my city is a lead weather story on the news because really, our weather is rarely extreme.
It's extreme right now, though.

And now my phone just blew up with a flash flood warning for my area because of this torrential rain. Fortunately I am on high ground, but many area not. These flooding rains (remember it's May, not August) will continue to create nightmares for people in the Midwest and South.
