We never played "dodgeball" per se, we played "dungeonball." If you wiped out a guy from the other side, they went in the "dungeon" behind you. You could lob a ball to one of your teammates captured in the other team's dungeon & they could attack from behind. It was glorious
We also had an unwritten Code of Conduct for dodgeball though. A true sportsman didn't go straight for smaller/slower kids, you saved your high heat for your friends or anybody who violated the Code of Conduct.
