Thought I would do a thread on our winged friends posting a duo of my painting and photos for each indl species....to bring a 'route of evanescence' on the TL...starting with my fav 'common bird' The red-whiskered bulbul

Goodmorning,Now for the bird that made me a 'birding enthusiast'.... In my teens on a misty ethereal day in Naukuchiatal,saw this magical bird flitting through the trees with its long tail swirling about & I was hooked,thewhite morph is from colaba,the rufous from Karanja
This pairing you aren't likely to see in nature white-capped Redstarts with coral jasmines( Nyctanthes arbor-tristis-the tree of sorrow coz they lose their flowers come morning)....As a painter I can bring them together😊....The photo clicked in Arunachal

Bringing up a score are the Four Kings...The Common,White -throated,Pied and the Black- capped...even though I have observed the BCKF in the wild in Kerala dont have a record shot for it....Have placed all four of them in the riverscape of the Ramganga in Pithoragarh

Now for the national bird...the painting of course features a white peacock(Nopes leucistic animals are not a separate species)...the photograph is from Chilika
Today's post is a lil different....A painting featuring Mrs Gould's Sunbird,Forest Owlet and ODKF,I dont have the photographs of the other two(forest owlet is endangered and rare,ODKF hopefully one day I will be able to see),the Photo of Mrs Gould's sunbird from Tawang
30th on the thread....the pheasant tailed Jacana (with an Image of Guan-yin)....The photo is from Chilika,Odisha(non-breeding hence the tail is missing)
