Yes, it's critical for journalists and publications to be impartial in their reporting. But that doesn't mean uncritically repeating things people have said.

Stop treating all statements as of equal weight. Proven bad faith actors like Boris don't deserve the benefit of the doubt.
Make them explain, in detail HOW they will deliver stuff. If they can't don't report the promise. Just say they brought an unrealistic idea to the table.
