A Christian winning in court after years of costly efforts to defend his or her "religious liberty" is not a victory. It is a loss, because it proves that in America, using the government and the courts to harass Christians is a completely normal and legit thing to do.
So long as the state is "neutral" between Christians and their tormentors, such harassment will continue.
This is because, in reality, there is no such thing as a neutral state. The state either tilts toward Christianity (as the US did at least until the 1940s) or it tilts toward liberalism (as the US has at least since the 1960s). You have to decide to tilt one way or the other.
Tilting toward Christianity does not mean revising the American Constitution. It means accepting that the American political order requires a Christian society, and that the protection and cultivation of a Christian society is a fundamental interest of both nation and state.
Tilting toward Christianity means that it is an "open and shut" case that government and the courts have no business harassing individuals for living a Christian life freely. So long as it is not "open and shut," the harrassment of Christians for their faith will continue.
