As I read this, the @brexitparty_uk accepts it has been breaking the law in accepting donations without checking whether they are from a permissible source. Why otherwise would it agree to return them? 
If @brexitparty_uk can't know the donor is a permissible one, they will have to forfeit or return the donations. But the problem for @brexitparty_uk is, their systems appears to be deliberately set up so they can't check the source of many donations.
Have @brexitparty_uk shot themselves in the foot? Have they landed themselves with an enormous obligation to repay or forfeit donations? Do they have the money to meet that obligation? Might they go under?

If they can't know the donation is permissible they have to return the money. That's what the law says (section 54(1)(b) of Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000).
