Elxns Canada paid $650k to influencers who have said Trudeau “makes me happy”, “is the ideal man”, “is a champ”, “has a celebrity aura…and glow”. One called Harper “Hitler”. If Elxns Canada CEO knew this & still paid them $650k, he is biased. If he didn’t know, he’s incompetent.

The Liberals should reimburse taxpayers for the hundreds of thousands of dollars Elections Canada gave partisan Trudeau "influencers" to campaign in the election. These are partisan expenses that Liberals, and not taxpayers, should pay.

Brilliant. Taxpayers are out $650k and the agency has lost credibility.

Let’s face it: Had I and other Conservatives not sounded the alarm about Elections Canada’s partisan “influencer” campaign, they would have gone ahead with the taxpayer-funded videos of anti-Conservative Trudeau supporters.

Elections Canada is only backing down because it got caught using tax-dollars for partisanship.

When I called it inappropriate for Elections Canada to give $650k payment to campaign “influencers”, CP & CBC did hit pieces on me. Now, we know (and Elections Canada has admitted) that its “influencers” campaign was inappropriate, CBC/CP should retract their hit pieces.

My Fair Elections Act allowed Elections Canada advertising, but only to tell people where, when and how to vote. It worked. People turned out in near record numbers. Had Liberals not repealed that rule, Elections Canada’s CEO would not be in this scandal today.
