You can't fight for liberalism by dismantling it.
Johnson is currently threatening to sidestep an elected British parliament, so he can pull the UK out of a liberal international institution, in order to fulfill an anti-immigrant political agenda.
Just like May, he claims to be ready to fight Putin. But domestically, he does exactly what Putin wants to happen.

Incredible, and quite moving, to read the final issue of the Walking Dead. You've got to hand it to Kirkman. In a comics industry that makes it almost functionally impossible for something to be surprising, he did something completely unexpected.
You always got the impression with him, despite this massive multimedia empire coming out of it, that the comics came first. And you got the impression with the ending, that the people with a pull list came above those who'd read about it in the press.
I know that hurts comic shop owners. I get that. But you have to admire his commitment to making sure that story was always a surprise.

Incredible how little coverage the media has deigned to give the Lib Dem leadership race.
Given the European election results and where they are in the polls, it's possible, even likely, they'd be crucial in the negotiations Corbyn had to establish a minority Labour government after an election.
And it's not as if this hasn't happened before. Same applied in the years before coalition.

Amid reports that #UK PM @theresa_may hopes to renegotiate the "backstop" provision on the Northern Ireland border, let's recall that she already made clear what she wants in her letter to #EU leaders before disastrously losing the #Brexit Withdrawal Treaty ratification vote. 1/
"This could be mitigated by changes to the backstop itself," she wrote to @eucopresident & @JunckerEU "Proposals for a way in which the UK could choose to exit the backstop unilaterally were it ever to come into force, or for a hard time limit... 2/
on the duration of the usage of the backstop, have been raised and discussed in Parliament. We have also raised them previously in negotiations." So there are her proposals, i.e. the EU should basically just cave on backstop in face of House of Commons defeat. But but but ... 3/

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their day jobs properly & decided to take the law into their own hands. It started as a small cover up 12 years ago but has turned into British State Persecution.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.
