.@IlhanMN's pro-BDS House bill insults Americans and their legislators by absurdly suggesting that the passage of laws in 27 states protecting Israel-linked people and businesses from discrimination is a plot orchestrated by the Israeli government.
There are also echoes of Elders of Zion conspiracy here, but this week I'm exhausted from racism/anti-Semitism claims. By itself, the allegation that legislation passed by overwhelming bipartisan majorities are an Israeli govt campaign makes idiots out of most state lawmakers.
On matters of substance, the laws that @IlhanMN's bill attacks do not silence anyone, or violate constitutional rights. Measure to combat BDS were adopted by Carter Administration, and until ten minutes ago, had broad support from congressional Ds. We'll see if that is still true
