I was a practicing trial atty when I was bitten by a tick. I contracted E. Chaffeensis, Rickettsia, & what was later determined to be #Lyme.
I also contacted Coxsackie B4 virus-a cousin of polio. I wasn't treated for 11 mos. I have lost most use of my left side (I'm left- handed)

During one of my hospitalizations, I caught Vanc-resistant C. Difficile. I fought it for 3.5 yrs but had to have 2 FM transplants to save my intestines & keep from going septic. Now, I CAN'T DIGEST food without EnteraGam. It's $198/mo. My 77-year-old mom can't afford it. 😭

We get $64/mo for food + trying to save our home.
As you probably know, SNAP doesn't cover toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, cleaning supplies, or dog/cat food + litter.
Please help us!
Even $5 or $10 will help! Even RTs help.
We both worked our entire lives: my mom until 75.

We desperately need help! Mom filed a tax extension and has to pay the CPA this week.
I never expected a tiny #tick could wreak such havoc. Our worlds have turned upside down.
I can't drive. Mom has to help me bathe /dress. She does:the shopping, laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc

I try my best to resist, even from my sickbed. 🌊
I am now on a walker or on 'good days', a cane. 🚶
My 77-year-old mom has to load/unload my walker. I have 2-3 Dr appts/therapy each wk.

@DemForLife3 We are both exhausted. She has both knees replaced & keeps falling.
She fell in the driveway and it took us 15 minutes to get her up by myself.
We get $64/mo for food & it's already gone. I don't know what the do. 😭
The food pantry gave us rice, beans, & canned peaches. Nice but

I am on a medically prescribed diet: The FODMAP diet, developed at Stanford.
(Bc of the severe damage to my intestines due to the 3.5 yr battle with Vanc-resistant C. Difficile).
Trying to raise the $198/mo for next mos.' RX, $ for food.
Please help!

@DemForLife3 A friend on Twitter sent us a giant box of gluten free breads, pasta, & even pop-tarts but that has been almost 2 yrs ago.

I am in #ChronicPain & my PCP told me I will be for life.
I have had 8 spinal taps bc the #tick bacteria invaded my spinal fluid/brain. The CSF fluid keeps building up & putting pressure on my brain.

I never imagined this would be our lives or my 77-year-old mom's "golden yrs".

She shouldn't have to care for her 52-yr-old daughter who was a practicing atty, working at The Center For Women & Children-helping abuse survivors. Mom's an RN-helping ppl until 75-when I got even worse.
Now we need help.

I don't know what I will do if Mom passes b4 me. She's 77-years-old & I know she's holding on bc of me.
She worries all the time & cries at night into her pillow when she thinks I can't hear
