This series barely scratches the surface of issues for #LGBTQ #disabled people, and I interviewed far more people than I could include. But what does come through clearly is the frustration many disabled queer and trans people have about exclusion from their own community.

When 1 in 4 Americans is #disabled, why is there so little attention paid to #disability access and visibility? Everyone I interviewed had had some battle with access. Exclusion is so painful for people already discriminated against on the basis of their #LGBTQ identity.
