There are other policies to discuss in the Democratic debates that deal with fairness and large structural change, that also affects our food quantity and price, that gets ignored. The problem is the structure of the debates. Democrats are totally dependent upon the cleverness of 
2/ of the journalists. Case in point, farm subsidies related to Trump's tariffs--in Texas, no less. And it also goes to the heart of GOP ideological orthodoxy. Everyone in the Democratic Party is either a "moocher" or "taker" or "lazy," and GOPers are "hard working." The
3/ Democrats are socialists or communists, while Republicans are free marketeers. So, will the GOP please explain the large degree of socialism and loopholes enacted by the Trump regime? Will somebody explain why that socialism is good, but all other kinds of assistance is bad?
