Eager to hear what sorts of stories from early Jamestown Trump tells. Like, will he say the part about how few of the white men who came to Jamestown were willing to do the work necessary to feed themselves and so they almost starved were it not for Native Americans?
Will he tell the part about how in 1610 the Virginia Company organized work gangs comprised of all white settlers that worked to the beat of a drum, and under threat of severe physical punishment?
Will he talk about how the Virginia Company would punish by death a wide range of offenses, including stealing a chicken? Or how a guy who stole a few pints of oatmeal had his tongue nailed to a tree and was chained to that tree until he died?
All of these stories come from this classic work on the colonial history of Virginia. Still worth reading. books.google.com/books/about/Am…
I'm also curious to see if Trump can restrain himself from making a Warren/Pocahontas joke. That'll really dignify the moment. If you're looking for a book that tells the story of Pocahontas & the Powhatan people respectfully, here's a good place to start. books.google.com/books/about/Po…
