Second, the idea that Bannon warrants the slot in the first place is bizarre. What is his relevance to anything? What position does he hold that makes his an important voice and perspective to hear?
The idea that simply not interviewing him is "no-platforming" him or censoring him is nonsense. Every day, thousands of important people are not interviewed by the BBC.

Most frustrating of all, there's a wealth of research on how the media unwittingly amplify and normalise extremist views, and I doubt the editors and interviewers in these cases have read a word of it
