@fotoole One because of the short term effects: NI moving away from Ireland. One because of the long term effects: the possibility of NI leaving the U.K. The old logic of darker days.
@fotoole I feel attracted by the idea of a NI referendum on Brexit policy. Want the backstop? Get it. Feel that‘s unacceptable? Easier to accept the consequences.
@fotoole The alternative: direct rule and letting the NI population become the pawns of two opposing poles again seems far less attractive. @MichaelAodhan , @hayward_katy am I being absurd?
