A "regional issue"?!

Imagining burning down an entire neighborhood and refusing to help the displaced victims. Making them house and care for each other. Torturing and bullying them if they have the temerity to come to you, the perpetrator, asking for help.

22 yrs ago, we still had enough of a conscience to see that our foreign, economic, military, & diplomatic policies had destroyed Central America.

NACARA was passed, in part, as reparations to give victims a pathway to citizenship.

One quick amendment & it could do that again

Temporary Protected Status ("TPS" ) has protected many Central Americans in the US (and helped their countries rebuild) since 2001. It ends for hundreds of thousands of Salvadorans in four months. Their forced return will only intensify the crisis.

It's time to

--update #NACARA

--#SaveTPS and give current beneficiaries a pathway to citizenship

--pass the #DREAMActNow

--reform our #asylum system to properly recognize these victims of empire as refugees

--submit ourselves to the jurisdiction of the Hague & make a list
