uberBrexiters - those who have moved to an ever more extreme #Brexit position such that anything other than the hardest of hard Brexits is treason

uberRemainers - those who wanted to Remain and still want to Remain, thus keeping the status quo

Yes, exactly the same extremists
uberArsonists - used to want to burn some stuff, now want to burn everything
uberAntiArsonists - anti burning anything because it's damaging & pointless

Moderates - those ok with burning some stuff because the uberArsonists seem pretty ticked off

If I'm against hanging Lewis then I'm just against hanging, full stop. I don't become an uberAntihanger just because the pro hanging movement has started random lynchings & the ones in the middle say "well, they seem pretty committed to this hanging lark"

#Brexit is stupid, it always was stupid & doesn't get less stupid because it's supporters want ever more stupid versions of it

If I say "this is wrong" because I believe it's wrong, I'm not an extremist, I just have character
This position from @lewis_goodall doesn't suggest #Brexit is good, or worthwhile. It suggests Remainers must accept something they know to be damaging *just because* others refuse to accept what's in front of them

So the first thing to say about it is it's fundamentally a lie, dishonest from beginning to end, and is likely a pro #Brexit policy

There is no "close relationship to" the SM
2) now of course many of my fellow remainers will be shocked at that statement and will say, quite rightly, that we need to get Labour support to fight #Brexit

That's true, but Labour's position remains dishonest, whether we need them or not
3) firstly, it's clearly nonsense to talk about workers rights & green alignment with the EU because this cannot be protected between governments, a new Tory government could sweep all of that away

And then will neither campaign for or against it

He'll call a Referendum, and be neutral on the outcome

Privately the court ruling has been described to me by EU sources as « an embarrassment » and « a humiliation » for the PM but the official EU position remains that under EU law, its negotiating partner is HMG, whoever is at its helm. Right now that remains Boris Johnson /2
The Eu insists it remains open for “technical discussions”’with the UK on renegotiating Brexit deal despite Supreme Court ruling .. though in same breath EU diplomats add there’s nothing really to negotiate since, they say, the Johnson gov has yet to produce realist proposals /3

Talk to different EU diplomats and politicians from different EU countries and you’ll get a number of different opinions as to how #Brexit will play out in the autumn /2
Some see BJ as one of the key architects of the Leave vote and therefore one of the few UK politicians able to sell a compromise deal with the EU to Parliament /3

@Jeremy_Hunt @BBCr4today @bbcnickrobinson Hunt's first point correct: the EU stopped giving concessions in Dec-April because it had no confidence that it would get May over the line. Why make concessions for nothing?

So might a new (more moderate) PM make a difference? /2

1. Time for a #Brexit history lesson. Us old school leavers bumped into the remain canard that "three million jobs" depend on the EU time and again over many years. So well worn were the arguments that Remain scarcely dare deploy that line during the referendum.
2. It was was easily countered by wa of saying that those jobs depended on trade with the EU, not membership of a political union. So there was always the historic inference that we wanted the maximum trade cooperation possible.
3. If asked if we would support a Brexit that would necessarily result in new barriers to trade, pretty much ecvery leaver would have said no. The infernence is that we would look to safeguard those three million jobs.
