Latest: Syrian tv says Syrian army has entered Tal Tamer in Hasaka countryside.

Only couple of days ago, some journalists were spending the night there under the protection of SDF.

I've just interviewed a dozen kurdish civilians in Derik in north Syria. I am not saying this is an official poll but its significant that they all said they prefer Syrian army to Turkish army.

Also nobody I spoke to has plans to leave once the Syrian army arrives.

"النظام لن يقتلنا، النظام يحمينا،" هذا ما قاله لي مواطن كردي في ديريك عند سؤاله عن رأيه بالاتفاق بين الأكراد والحكومة السورية.

قال لي هذا الشاب الكردي في بلدة ديريك "النظام احسن من تركيا" تعليقا على الاتفاق بين الأكراد والحكومة السورية.

سألته لماذا؟ هذا جوابه:

"الدولة بدها تجي لهون ونحن مكيفين فيها."
