I knew that DAT from last episode would make another appearance. But when do we get to hear what they recorded on it?! 😂

The movie that Dennis watches throughout the episode is the classic 1983 film Shaolin and Wu-Tang (imdb.com/title/tt008306…) directed by and starring Gordon Liu. #WuTangOnHulu

You might recognize a few classic songs in this episode. Bob James’ “Nautilus” was famously sampled in Ghost’s “Daytona 500” and Attila’s theme is “UFO” by ESG — a sample used dozens of times, including “Ain’t No Half-Steppin” by Kane.

Sha’s excited to see himself in Bobby’s video. Raekwon isn’t really in the Rakeem video (though Divine is), but if you look closely in this clip you can see Sha rockin’ the Snow Beach jacket — which would become famous from the “Can It Be All So Simple?” video. #WuTangOnHulu

Back in the day, Ghost used to refer to Olde English 800 as “Wu-Tang” or Wu-juice and Rza used to refer to his drink of choice, Ballantine Ale, as “Shaolin” — this moment pays homage to that.
