Deep down, we're all animals.
People in the year 2019 are convinced that we're somehow above this.
Our animalistic nature is still very much with us, and it's here to stay.
What does this mean?
1) Your appearance matters, A LOT
2) Your appearance determines how you get treated in the workplace
3) Your appearance determines how other men treat you
4) Your appearance determines how women treat you
5) Your appearance determines how the WORLD treats you
Social dynamics are a little more complicated, fluid, and ever-changing.
Whereas your appearance is simply a 'checklist', and if you 'tick-off' all the items, you're pretty much good to go.
I know this one's obvious.
I was thinking about trying something unusual.
But I'd be lying if I said this wasn't numero uno.
Nothing else on this list matters if you're over 20% bf or so.
* Reduce your eating window significantly (IF), pssibly beginning with a 72 hr fast
* Make damn sure you're in a calorie defict & the scale is going down
* Kill your sugar addiction (2-3 weeks)
* Do a 30 day no alcohol challenge
Men Over 40 tend to need lower carbs than younger men, even when holding activity level constant.
The benefits for your appearance?
You'll hold less water in your:
And you'll be less bloated.
The leaner you get, the more important this is (I realise quite a few of you are getting close to 15% bf or so).
Fitted (tighter) clothing will:
+ Make your v-taper look better
+ Show off greater definition in your overall physique
Loads of studies have been done on this - having some facial hair is beneficial.
Just make sure it's not grey (dye it if you have to).
Obvious health benefits aside, there's many appearance benefits to this too:
- Your skin looks better
- You'll hold less water/bloat (especially if this is full-on cardio)
- You'll burn more fat, which of course links back to #1
If you're balding, either shave it off or get a hair transplant.
The half-way house doesn't work.
