🚨 This thread provides info about the largest #opioid indictment & settlement in U.S. history whereby Indivior was charged w/ marketing #fraud of #Suboxone. The docs are lengthy but essential reading for all #CPP who have & are being tapered or terminated from their #RxOpioid.
The following is the DOJ announcement of the indictment in April 2019 and had Indivior been found guilty they would have been required to pay $3 BILLION in fines, fees, etc.

In July 2019 a settlement agreement of $1.4 BILLION was reached that allowed the parent company of Indivior... manufacturer of #Suboxone (an #RxOpioid used to treat #Addiction and #ChronicPain) to resolve its potential #criminal & #civil liabilities.

This is the DOJs unsealed 166 page Second Amended Complaint indicating that it was intervening in #WhistleblowerLawsuits alleging the company violated the False Claims Act & Anti-Kickback Statute re: sales of #Suboxone & #Subutex. Cases were consolidated.

It should also be noted that this indictment came under the Department of Justice Prescription Interdiction & Litigation (PIL) Task Force, to fight the prescription opioid crisis that was created by Jeff Sessions to assist in addressing the #OpioidCrisis

ISM is defined as a distinctive practice, system, or philosophy, typically a political ideology or an artistic movement.
3/n It must be understood that Hindu term always had geo-cultural meaning covering for people residing amid Sindhu River, Himalayas & Indu Sagar. Then in this case adding suffix ISM is nothing but mocking English Language. Eg, u can’t add Ism to Japanese and call Japaneism.
