THE PROOF.

1/. LibDems, CHUK, PC, GREENS and Dominic Grieve have mutually cooperated to maximise beneficial remain electoral outcomes.
2/ They don’t all agree on the best way but they did not allow that to get in the way of the big picture. Grown up politics.
3/. Was Labour approached to invite them to join in with UniteToRemain @heidiallen75 ?

4/. Yes. Several times. Rebuffed every time. As Caroline Lucas pointed out on #Marr yesterday unfortunately Lab would not participate.
5/. Lib Dems , whatever their reservations were willing to do electoral deals with Lab. You don’t even have to like one another to do that.

6/. When commentators locate this issue as Lab AND Lib Dem they help to perpetuate it.

Only one party has refused electoral pact. Labour

Why do people support Boris Johnson's Brexit deal? | YouGov

Only 39% supported Johnson’s deal and, of those, only 2% think it is a good deal.

By far the greatest reason for accepting is “To Get Brexit Done” tapping into the frustration, “sick of it”

A whopping 30% don’t know.

I have to say to proceed with any Brexit on this basis is nothing short of grossly irresponsible.

For those who say a Referendum is better than Revoke, people aren’t going to thank you for dragging this on and on and on.
Just 2% think it is a good deal.

2% FGS.

And people KNOW how dangerous another referendum is going to be.

They KNOW it is a Linus blanket to remainers. Makes them feel better about revoking.

Leavers don’t want one.

They would rather someone else made the final decision.

The idea that Dominic Grieve and other die in a ditch Remain supporters would be demanding the release of a report on Russia that’s favorable to Leave is obvious nonsense; @BuzzFeedUK should ask their sources about that #Brexit
Frankly the UK standard for redoing a vote is “not free and fair”. It’s got literally nothing to do with changing vote tallies. If Russian money swamped #Brexit the vote will have to be redone. The Committee or its members should go to court ASAP

You shouldn't really tweet when you're angry, so I'm going to have to be careful how I phrase this tweet, because at the moment I am very, very angry.

The Remain movement has within it the drive, imagination & purpose to come together & defeat Brexit.
Yet it seems incapable of doing so, for reasons I can't fully fathom. All Remainers are agreed on one thing - that Brexit is bad and should be stopped. For reasons known only to themselves, they can't agree on the best method of achieving this goal.
Everybody agrees on the destination - no fucker can agree on the route to be taken.
Do we dress up? Do we take a more sober approach? Do we sing songs? Do we put banners and advertising hoardings up in strategic places? Do we stand on College Green with a megaphone?

During 2016, I campaigned with all my heart to Remain.

Very early on, I realised the 'official' Remain group ("Stronger In") was incompetent and even obstructive.

In my wilder moments, I even began to wonder if there was foul play going on.

Later, I found out that the Chair of Stronger In was Stuart Rose, a man who had previously advocated for #Leave, who is on record as stating that #Brexit would lead to higher wages and who is now vigorously opposing a 2nd referendum... Not, in my submission, a committed Remainer.
Other figureheads of Stronger In jumped onto the 'we must respect the Will of the People' bandwagon almost before the results were in, and some of them then *actively* subverted Pro EU manifestations. Any Remainer on the 'March for Europe' in September 2016 will know what I mean.
