Really not good that a gentle interrogation of a propoganda narrative propounded by a palpably dishonest regime should inspire such confected outrage.
And one might make exactly the same point about Corbyn's preference, where possible, for due process. There's hardly a lawyer in the country who'd say differently.
I doubt you can fairly say that these points resonate only because of Corbyn's historic anti-Westernism. Similar crap was used with Miliband where there was no historic resonance.

Probably just me, but the BBC's scrutiny of the Government during the general election campaign feels better than its scrutiny of Government thinking on Brexit. The BBC seems still to be able to do scrutiny when it wants to. /1
If this is right, it does raise questions about how different the world might now look had the BBC had not taken the decision in early 2017 that: "The duty we broadcasters had to “broadly balance” the views of the two sides is at an end." (radiotimes.com/news/2017-04-0…). /2
If - as is my strong impression - the world would now look very different had the BBC properly scrutinised Brexit, it raises a series of really important questions about the BBC going forward. /3

2/ The NHS, long before Brexit, from your govt & your mate Jeremy, is in poor shape.
- We don’t have enough staff (100,000 short total, 40,000 nurses, 10,000 doctors)
- we don’t have enough funding (~£26b)
- Demand continues to rise by 4% every year

5th July 2018 will be the 70th birthday of our beloved #NHS.

This THREAD argues that it is in severe danger under this #Toryshambles government, with #Brexit posing an imminent & particularly invidious threat.

To #SaveOurNHS we must work tirelessly together to #StopBrexit.
1/ Today's devolved #NHS is a complex federation of tens of 000s of orgs employing some 1.7m workers. It's combined annual budget is just shy of £150bn. It handles, overwhelmingly successfully, almost a million patients daily.

With each box maybe 000s of orgs, & England only:
2/ Unresolved public health issues & a fast-expanding multi-morbid elderly population, coupled with chronic underfunding & the blowback from the butchery of social care since 2010 means the #NHS is pressured as never before.
