Lisa, you write “to most climate change experts” “major elements” of Sanders Green Deal are “implausible” but you don’t link to any poll or survey of climate change experts. On what basis can you say more than 50% think his plans are implausible? Did you just...make this up?
Oh “experts”. All of them? How many? What percentage? The article cites a handful of academics and a guy who works for Pete Buttigieg. 
Be wary of the “most experts say” or “most economists agree” formulation. It’s a high brow variation on Fox News and Trump’s “many people are saying”—a way of laundering ones own opinion into ostensibly straight news. fair.org/home/vox-and-t…
“Most experts” is an empirical, quantifiable claim (50%-99.99% of experts share an opinion on X) and empirical claims needed to be substantiated. NYTimes just asserts this, no editor I’ve ever had would let me write something like this without basis to do so.
"Climate scientists and energy economists say the plan is technically impractical, politically unfeasible, and possibly ineffective." is an outrageous claim without any supporting evidence. This is chatting with a handful of hand-picked people and passing it off as consensus.
The kicker card, as @DanielDenvir notes, is this horribly offensive comparison of the GND with Trump's symbol of racist apartheid. Serious Centrist Pundits are always bumfuzzled why people loathe the media. Snide, left-punching bullshit like this is one of the primary drivers.
@DanielDenvir i think it was @NathanJRobinson who pointed out one possible reason for climate denialism was that liberals' urgency didnt match the science they claimed to defend. This is a good example. If we're serious about climate change this smug drivel wouldnt be what elite media produces
