2. This temporary relief expired in July '19. In any case, these tariffs were not graduated & came with crazy restrictions around consumption over a period of 3mths that saw electricity consumers playing mazzematics with their bills! Such confusion.

5. Meaning that these guys always knew that relief for consumers was only ever going to be temporary.

We don't need to be soooo educated to understand why electricity bills will remain high.

Nevermind that 30-40% of our bills are add ons.

6. Barely 2mths later, Pavel Oimeke @EPRA_Ke whose boss is CS @ketercharles are "considering" @kenyapower's request.

The "rejections" in September were meant to keep WaKenya under the illusion that gava cares.

KPLC's failures belong to the entire energy sector!

7. @kenypower is running on fumes! Between the Sh150B theft reported by @DCI_Kenya (nil by mouth) & 23% systems losses, revenues of Sh64.8 are reduced by Sh14.9B at least!

BUT THE POWER PRODUCERS (@kengen, IPPs, etc) ALWAYS GET PAID.

8. Be alive to the fact that much as @KenyaPower must be "switched off", cartels from @StateHouseKenya down to akina @ketercharles @EPRA_Ke @KenGenKenya @KETRACO1 + politically connected IPPs have likely chosen to sacrifice it on the altar of our collective anger.

9. @KenyaPower needs to raise more revenue from the only section in our bills that accrue back to it - Sh/kWh - in order to deliver services.

BUT KPLC is irredeemably corrupt & without a financial & systems audit dating back 20yrs, no tariff increase will help.

10. @KenyaPower cannot reform without an overhaul of the energy sector. Pres Uhuru sold us the 5,000MW pipe dream. We pay for excess capacity.

Wind, solar, geo & hydro energy are not so clean.

Diesel & coal haunt us.

We fight using Pets 6 & 59.

For all of us.
