Dayananda Saraswati wanted marriageable age for women at 16. It is against the law. It means that Dayananda Saraswati is misogynist. Reject him. Will you do that? Your standing in judgement on everything in the past is idiotic. Rig Veda has plenty of verses that are problematic.

+old text serve all the needs today? Vedas had their own problems which the rishis and scholars tried to change through later scriptures. They, in turn, brought their set of problems, which Dayananda, Vivekananda and other thinkers tried to rectify. Today, we are dealing with+
+a newer world, which requires other changes. It doesn't mean that we accept everything that was said in the past, or reject everything that came before as `dooshit'. Just that we take everything in perspective and don't stand in judgement on everything done in the past.
