Teaser of an ongoing investigation:

There's something very murky happening with the financials of the fake news rag @SwarajyaMag.

Despite rising revenues, this magazine has managed to declare huge "losses" & paid ZERO RUPEES in tax through some financial wizardry.

Swarajya had revenues of 2.74 crore this year (up from 1.38 crores last year).

Clearly, as a magazine, this revenues would be assumed to be coming from subscriptions and other stuff that they sell .

Quite an impressive number one must admit.

Oh but wait!

Let's look at their "employee benefit expense". Normally, this section applies to things like wages, travel expenses, food expenses etc.

Swarajya spent a whopping 1.74 crores on "employee benefits".

The guys running it are evidently paid very handsomely

If you go back to the above image, you'll also see a section called "other expenses".

These expenses are undefined. But what we know is that these do NOT cover vendor payments, rent, or salaries.

Swarajya's "other expenses" are a shocking 3.2 crores!

So despite having revenues of 2.74 crores, Swarajya declared a LOSS of 2.13 crores this year.

Thanks to their "employee benefits" and "other expenses", this magazine claims to be a loss-making entity every year.

Now fun fact - what happens when a company's expenses are more than their revenues? They obviously declare losses.

But what does this also mean?

That's right - it means the company also avoids paying taxes.

So guess how much Swarajya paid in taxes?

ZERO RUPEES!

So this is a teaser of the financial wizardry happening at this "nationalist" hate-mongering rag.

They make 2+ crores in revenues, but pay ZERO TAX.

Oh & there's much more which I'll reveal once I go legal :)

For now, will the tax authorities of the Modi govt. wake up?
