EXCLUSIVE – IN 2015 @JeremyCorbyn labelled UK anti-terror laws as “very draconian” and attacked the British Security Services, suggesting that there should be less protections for them. How can this man be trusted to keep us safe?

The comments were made in the wake of the January 2015 Paris terrorist attacks in which 12 people were killed at the Charlie Hebdo offices and 4 Jews were murdered a few days later in a kosher supermarket.
In fact, @JeremyCorbyn appeared on the programme only 3 days after the kosher supermarket attack. What did he talk about? Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians.

Let’s put this simply – deciding to talk about Israel/Palestine after a deadly terrorist attack on Jews in France is antisemitic, regardless of what the Prime Minister of Israel chose to say.
A reminder that a BBC journalist had to apologise for employing a similar tactic when interviewing a Jewish woman during the rally against terrorism march in Paris when he decided to make a point about Israel/Palestine.

Earlier in the interview, after a feature about an increase in security outside Jewish locations in France, what did @JeremyCorbyn want to discuss? Security for mosques and discrimination against the French Muslim community.

This is a valid point to make and its message a commendable one, BUT let’s not forget the context – Jews have just been murdered whilst shopping in a kosher supermarket. Why does Corbyn seem to have little concern for this point and why pit antisemitism against Islamophobia?
At no point during the interview does @JeremyCorbyn explore, explain, address or engage with antisemitism in France or the fact that Jews have just been brutally murdered by a jihadist terrorist. The lack of empathy is astonishing.
Recently, @UKLabour have received criticism for their decision to exclude Jews in a video about supporting minority groups. Clearly this isn’t the first time @JeremyCorbyn has chosen to ignore Jews.

The key point of all of this is this – bigoted attitudes, prejudice and in this case, antisemitism can be reflected in what someone chooses not to say, not just what they do say.
When Jews in the UK say they fear for their safety under a @JeremyCorbyn government, this example proves why. END
