The abuses detailed in the IG report are objectively far worse than anything Trump was accused of in the partisan circus of Impeachment Theater, let alone anything that has been even remotely substantiated against Trump. Media complicity is one reason the IG report is far worse.
Of COURSE Beltway media, the Democrat Party, and the Washington establishment thinks imagined offenses against Joe Biden are an all-consuming mega-story while documented FISA court abuse against Trump is a non-story, but the reverse is true.
The involvement of the media in the FISA circus is one reason they won't report accurately on the magnitude of the revelations in the report, and it's one reason Americans should be outraged. We don't want a media that works as an info-laundering service for political hit jobs.
The abuse of the FISA court is a HUGE deal. This is one of those stories that would change history if today's headlines could be dropped in a time machine and shipped to America a generation ago. Every criticism of the Surveillance State from the early 2000s has been vindicated.

We're fresh off the spectacle of bureaucrats using Impeachment Theater to tell us they don't give a damn who wins presidential elections and insisting THEY run U.S. foreign policy, and now we get a report about the partisan abuse of a supposedly sacred surveillance court.
And yes, it's clearly partisan abuse. "Mistakes were made" is a transparently ridiculous defense. Dozens of "mistakes" that were supposed to be impossible to make - and every single one of them cut in the same partisan direction?
Watching media and the DC establishment attempt to undersell the severity of the IG report is just icing on the cake. The system protects itself yet again - government officials, politicians, and media close ranks to make sure there are no consequences for anyone "important."
Which should make all of you "unimportant" people out there in Flyover Country even more determined to burn this corrupt system down, and even more worried about what that system would do to YOU, if you were unlucky enough to draw its malevolent gaze. /end
